Question:
Does anyone know of a doctor that accepts Medicaid in the NY area?

I don't have Medicaid yet but I think I can get it becasue I had back surgery last year and they helped me out. Any advice you can give with be greatly appreciated. Any advice about getting Medicaid? Get your Medicaid first. Be prepared for a long wait with NY Medicaid. I just had to renew mine and it was a pain in the butt. They lost my recertification paperwork and I had to go down and fight with them. I am from Queens New York, and just found a Doctor in Brooklyn that runs an obesity surgery clinic in NY Methodist Hospital. I just got off the phone with them less than an hour ago and my appointment date for consultation with Dr Piotr Gorecki is June 24 2003. I can't believe the wait is 5 months just for a consultation. I don't know what part of New York you are in, but you can find some doctors on this site. Good Luck and let me know how things turn out. Dawn
