Is the DS Procedure considered a gastric bypass surgery?

Weight loss surgery encompasses many different types with some having similar names. Gastric Bypass surgery can apply to both RNY and DS as they both involve operating on a portion of the stomach (hence 'gastric') and re-routing the intestines (hence 'bypass').
