Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am so sorry you had such a bad experience with your insurance company. It was completely uncalled for. Did you happen to note the name of the nasty lady you spoke to? If you did, call back and ask to speak to a supervisor in the customer service department. Let the supervisor know that this woman was unprofessional and rude and threatened you by saying she would put a note in your file saying you were irate. You are 100% correct. YOU pay for the insurance and YOU have the right to receive information about your case. You can call daily if you'd like to though I would always make sure to keep your attitude light and upbeat. The people who you speak to on the phone generally are not the ones who make the ultimate decision about your case so they appreciate customers who do not blame them for all of their insurance injustices....:). Anyway, please consider reporting this woman. If she spoke to you that way, odds are she spoke to others that way. Your insurance payments are what keeps her company in business. She apparently has forgotten that. Best of luck and I hope you get a quick approval.

Make sure you write down every time you call then ins. co. the name of the person (ask them), the date & time of the call, and what it was in reference to. I had to file a complaint against my ins. co. with the state, and that record was priceless! You should definitely report this woman to a supervisor and in writing to their complaint department. Give it right back to her!

Everyone has to answer to someone. I can almost bet you were talking to a customer service person. You need to demand to speak to the medical reviewer on your case, the supervisor in fact. Go to the top until you get answers. I would report the person who talked to you like that. No matter what it is customer's first in this industry. Then I would have a 3 way call with the Dr's office and the insurance person. Good Luck!

I have BC/BS PPO of Mi. and I didn't have to do anything because I went to a BTC and they did everything concerning my insurance. Once they called me to say I was approved it was about 4 days later that I got a call giving me my possible dates. I had my surgery a month after that! Sorry you had such a rough time, I have had problems with people like that before too, I usually ask to speak with someone else or a supervisor...

BELIEVE GOD!! Josii, pray on it, prayer is a powerful tool. It says in the Bible "Be still and know that I am God", my interpretation, "Don't worry, have faith, I will work it out". When I am stress about something, I pray on it, then forget about it and like "MAGIC" problem solved. GOD BLESS!
