Question:
Has anyone had experience with Utah Medicaid?

I want to pursue having surgery, but first I need to know what steps I must follow in order to get approval from Medicaid? I would appreciate any assist- ance with this problem. Thanks.    — Mahala V. (posted on August 14, 2000)

Mahala, I just read your profile, and saw that you are from Utah. I had my surgery 1-11-00 at Rocky Mountain Physicians in Salt Lake City. They have one of the best Bariatric programs around. I don't know about medicaid, but I know when I talked with them {the Dr} they said it was better if I did'nt talk with my insurance co. and just let them deal with them. {they know what strings to pull!} They can tell you what providers they get approval from.
