Question:
What kind of denials has anyone received from Allmerica?

I am waiting for approval from Allmerica, but I am concerned that they may deny me. I do not have any existing co-morbidities, but I know that I am sure to have them without surgery . (I am 27, with co-morbidities running in my family.) What kind of reasons has Allerica given for not approving surgery?    — Lefty S. (posted on August 8, 2000)

I have First Allmerica PHCS (which Im hoping is the same as the insurance that you have). I was approved for surgery the first time I send a request. You can check out my profile for my BMI and all that good stuff...and Im only one year younger than you :) Im hoping that it will work out for you as well. Good luck.
