Question:
How do I find the reviews on Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA?

I'm new to the site and would like to see comments about or hear from someone who had their surgery at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh. I have my initial consulatation on October 2, 2002. Thank you.    — csmonteith (posted on September 18, 2002)

Hi! Just go to the "Gallery" page, or this link: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/index.phtml & on the far left is a menu of links. At the top it says, "Hospital Directory", just click on that link & you should be able to see whether that hospital is listed or not & the reviews its gotten... =0)

I had my surgery at Magee. I am guessing that you are going to see Dr. Hamad. She is wonderful. So is her staff. One of the nurses on staff on the floor you will be inrecovery had her surgery 15 years ago. They really take care of you. Any more questions feel free to email me at [email protected]. Good Luck :)

Congrats if they are thinking of putting you at Magee you not real high risk! High risk always go to Presby because of some specialized advanced equiptement there. I know some post ops from Magee and all were very happy with the facilities. Dr Schauer and his group are all operating there as well. Its a new bariatic floor. Thats great because thew staff gets really good at caring for MOs that just had surgery. Me and Jen visited there once or twice. Its clean new and spotless. Staff was super nice too. Be sure to atrtend support group meetings the first wednesday of each month, they really help!

Hi Christine, Magee is wonderful! Their staff is excellent. I didn't have any problems with them at all. They are all caring and attentive and will help in any way possible. Relax...you'll be in good hands! Leah.
