Question:
will medicine still work for seizures after surgery?

my husband is scared that his dilatin will not work after he has surgery because it absorbs pills and things like that. i guess what im asking is does anyone have seizures going into this surgery?    — danielle R. (posted on November 19, 2002)

Hi I have seizures too and I am scheduled for the begining of the year. I was taken off of Depakote and put on Topamax recently (nothing to do with surgery) and my Docs see no problems with having the surgery or anything. I know that the Depakote comes in a liquid form a friend of mine from this site that had surgery took the liquid and did just fine. So good luck to you and your husband.
