What are the co-morbidities that Medicare will approve for WLS?

What is the BMI that Medicare will approve for surgery without co-morbidities. Does Medicare consider Arthritis in the knees a legitimate co-morbid? I don't use a cane or anything yet. I can walk one day and be down for 2-3 days recovering from knee pain. I have been in constant pain for the past month.    — spankywoman (posted on May 30, 2000)
