Question:
Anyone in Nevada that has United Health Care or Medchoice2000 please help!

Through my current employer, I have Health Plan of Nevada, Sierra Choice. I have been denied 2 times now and am putting together the final letter to go to hearing. My husband on the other hand has a job with MerckMedco and his benefits will kick in on August 1, 2000. He has one of three options for Healthcare plans. HPN (HMO), United Health Care (EPO), or Medchoice2000 which is MerckMedcos PPO plan. Anyone out there from Las Vegas have any info on these providers and WLS?    — Cathie S. Hi, I live in Arizona and have United Health Care EPO also, they approved me on the first try, no questions asked and they even cover abdomenoplasty, when found to be medically necessary. Hope this helps, you might try calling United and making sure that your husbands employer does not have WLS as an exclusion.

I HAVE UNITED HEALTH CARE. Just make sure you read the fine print for exclusions. I have been dinied because of a weight loss and or wls exclusion.

United Healthcare denied the Laproscopic procedure. They did not deny the surgery, but wanted it done open instead. My doctor refuses, and I am now fighting my case.
