Question:
BPD/DS Surgeons in Houston,TX or surrounding areas?

Hi, I am considering waiting until open enrollment (waayyyy in Oct! :( so I will not have to fight with Aetna about getting the type of surgery I want. BUT IF I HAVE TO I WILL...& DEBRA COUNT ME IN IF AETNA DOES NOT COME THROUGH!...I have decided that DS is the route that I want to take but cannot find a surgeon in Houston,TX. Shayla, I don't think there are any DS surgeons in Texas, unfortunately. There is a pretty comprehensive list of all surgeons who perform the DS at www.duodenalswitch.com. Many DS patients have to travel to other states. I live in Florida, but i had my surgery in Virginia. It was very inconvenient, but I'm glad I didn't let distance stop me. Good luck!!

Go to duodenalswitch.com. They have surgeons listed by state. WI does not have any either.
