Question:
My Husban's co Has GE Admin they have and exclusion for WLS

My husban's company FYI has them and they have an exclusion clause against the surgery I had contacted them in March an gotton an ok verbally from them than in June after I had gone through all the pre-op paperwork the ins company call me to tell me about the company exclusion I want to know can i fight this and win or is ther anything I can do at all about this exclusion clause. they take out $145.00 a week in ins. premiums out of my hubby check and If I can't get them to pay6 for surgery I am going to cancel them. You could try talking with your companys HR. But to even have a chance at winning something like this (and Ive heard of at least one that has) you will need an attorney.

I had GE Admin insurance and my company also had an exclusion clause. Talk to your husbands HR department. My HR department head went "out of policy" for me and had my surgery covered as a one time exclusion to the policy, my company was very good to me and the HR person is able to do this if your husbands company allows them to. I had my surger on 4/21/03 am down 160 lbs!!! best of luck with this!
