Question:
Does anyone have any experience with CIGNA PPO of KS/MO?

OK! So, the time to change insurance companies is coming up in October and I'm going to try our Cigna PPO plan. I tried calling Cigna to find out if there is a written exclusion, but they referred me to my companies HR website. So, I read that and there's nothing the specifically excludes WLS. So, here I go again. Does anyone have any experience with Cigna PPO of KS/MO? If so, I'd love to hear your experiences. We, also, have a Cigna Indemnity Plan, so maybe I should just go for that instead of having to deal with a PPO? The new plan won't take affect until January 2002, do I have to wait until then to try for pre-approval even though, I'll still have Healthnet coverage?    — Carmen B. I live in Kentucky. My husband's primary insurance is Cigna PPO and it is my secondary. There is not an exculsion on WLS on his policy. After my insurance approved the surgery. Cigna PPO approved the surgery as a secondary payor within two weeks after the surgeon's office submitted the information. Good luck on your journey.
