Question:
Anyone ever get approved with OMM & not have 5 yrs consecutive documentation overweight

I am going crazy-has anyone ever been approved with Ohio Med Mutual SuperMed Classic & not had the 5 yrs consecutive documentation? I sent in about 8yrs, but was not consecutive-only 4 consecutive. Do you think they will approve me? Thanks, Ellen    — Ellen L. (posted on October 20, 2001)

I have MMOH and in fact I have my surgery in two days. I did not have a five year weight history but....I did have many comorbidities. I originally was denied because of that, but when I changed to a different doctor, and he submitted it, I was approved. I did include alot of documentation and wrote a lengthy letter on my own behalf. I also had many letters from treating doctors regarding the medical necessity of the operation. Good luck.
