Question:
Has anybody had to deal with BCBS of Alabama PPO?

I live in Texas and will be having surgery in Arkansas. My insurance is BCBS Of Alabama PPO through International Paper. I was just wondering how they are on approvals.    — SBBYRAM (posted on February 23, 2002)

Hi. I have BCBS of AL with the State of AL. I got approved in 1 day. I am about 300 lb and 5 ft 1" and have hypertension and sleep apnea. I don't know what the exact criteria are though. Actually the approval for mine was done thru Intracorp, I believe they contract them out for approvals. Good Luck with your approval. I am due for my surgery on 3/5/02 hope yours is soon too!
