Question:
Has anyone had a WLS exclusion overturned? If so please let me know how you did it.

Hello Ginger :) I too, have a specific weight loss surgery exclusion in my policy (mutual of omaha ppo - indemnity) I just recently submitted for approval and haven't heard anything back yet :( But what I've comed to learn from asking the same question from others is that it is possible - but depends on your insurance, your co-morbidities, and your willingness to fight. Hello, I have an exclusion in my policy BCBS of GA PPO. I was just approved by my insurance. I was told that even though I have an exclusion if I could prove it was medically necessary then they would have to approve it. Good luck. I'll pray for your success.
