Question:
Is being in review a good thing?

Weyco is my ins. co. They have told me that they would know possibly by last Fri, Fri. they said Monday, Monday they said Tues. It is Wed. now and they say it is being reviewed as we speak. This same ins. co. denied my breast reduction claim. Should I be worried?? I am getting nervous and it is making my physically sick to my stomach. If anyone has any input I would love to hear it. Nickie, I think that anything major goes to review. My plastic surgery was in review and I just got approved for my TT and upper arms. I had so many people tell me that Aetna didn't even cover upper arms, but here I am. I believe review just means that the medical reviewer has to look over all of the information that has been sent in to make sure you meet their requirements. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but that is what happened to me. Try not to worry yourself sick (coming from someone who didn't take her own advice). The waiting is the hardest part. Good Luck! Nickie, I too was told that my claim was in review just before I was approved. I dont have your insurance but I think its a pretty standard term. Waiting is the hardest thing I ever went through so I understand your pain. Try to occupy your mind with something else (easier said than done) Best of luck to you !

Nickie, I was told by my insurance that this type of surgery goes to a case manager "for review". This person just makes sure you meet all of their qualifications for the surgery. Sounds like you will be approved. Hang on tight, keep yourself busy and before you know it, you may be approved! Good Luck to You!

I know the waiting game can be so frustrating! I got closer and closer to my surgery date and I hadn't been approved yet, so I called and they said it was in review, as well. Then a few days later I called again to find out I was having surgery! I don't think review is a good or bad thing, but based on previous posts as well, maybe it is a good sign! Goodluck- hope you get approved!
