Question:
If my husband leaves his job and gets cobra now b4 ins. changes 8/1/03 will it ?

right now we have bcbs fl ppo and insurance is making me wait until 8/01/03 to have surgery but if my husband leaves his job now and we get cobra lets say in June or july but his job may be changing group coverage in 8/01/03 will we still be w/insurance we have when he leaves or will cobra change on us if they renew with different insurance companyeven if we have cobra first will it still be the same in August? any help is appreciated..Thank You...    — marie M. You would be forced into the new insurance that your husbands company changes over to. You would be considered a cobra takeover. Meaning you would go from bc/bs cobra to whatever insurance the company takes as directly on cobra with that company. Hope this makes sense.

hi i have gone the cobra route if your husbands group stays with the same insurance you are fine if everything has ben approved if they change you must get approved again but you must go the cobra route to be covered hope i help if not email me thanks rosemary
