Question:
anyone with tricare get denied twice and still win

if anyone with tricare prime can tell me if they have gone through denial twice and still won with them. i am fighting them on the fact of being double my ideal body weight with no medical problems.    — tacy T. (posted on July 26, 2003)

Tacy, Hey...I was wondering if you're getting it approved through the base hospital's Tricare office. The way they do it on my base is your referal for the surgery goes to the base's Tricare office and is either denied or approved. If that's where your referal is going, I would try it on the next level and have it sent to your region's Tricare office for another appeal. If, on the other hand, yours goes straight to your region's tricare office, I would try to have itappealed at your base's Tricare office. Bottom line-wherever your referal is going now, have it go smoewhere else! Don't let the same person/people look at it over and over again and keep denying you! Good luck!
