Question:
Any luck with using an out of network Doctor?

There is only one Doctor in Atlanta Ga.that does the surgery I want and he is not in Aetna's network. Has anyone else delt with this before? I have to get my PCP to refer me to Dr. Champion. IF aproved do they pay all of it? OR do I have to pay some if it? It doesn't matter if I have to pay some, I just can't afford to pay all of it. Atnea can give you a very hard time, however Dr.Sidney Appel is doing my surgery. He does a very thorough job, as a matter if fact his patients have extremely good sucess because he is such a stickler for details. He heads the surgical weight management group at Dekalb Medical in Decatur. For me it has paid almost 100% I only have had to pay my copays. Think about it, it might be worth it Dr.Appel he is Board Certified and this si all he does. Edythe
