Question:
Has anyone had any experience with CIGNA Healthcare of OH (HMO plan)?

My surgeon has just submitted my paperwork to CIGNA Healthcare of OH for approval. I have the HMO plan. Has anyone else had any experience with them?    — Rhonda B. (posted on August 16, 2000)

I had CIGNA HMO in Texas & I guess I was one of the lucky ones who didn't go through a nightmare getting approved. I had a PCP who had known me many yrs., approved of the surgery, & sent me to the surgeon. I had to have a physical, an echocardiogram and a second opinion & I was approved. The surgeon's office did all the "fighting" if there was any. They just took over. Hang in there. Cigna is usually pretty good and I was only 80 lbs. overweight.
