Question:
ANYONE HAD TML(TX MUNICIPAL LEAGUE)INS/AND HOW LONG DID AN APPROVAL TAKE??

IT HAS ALREADY BEEN 4 WEEKS SINCE MY PREDETERMINATION REQUEST HAS BEEN RECEIVED,STILL NO RESPONSE.IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO GET THROUGH TO THESE PEOPLE???    — [Anonymous] (posted on June 6, 2001)

Have you tried calling? I would check your ins. handbook. My company has 30 days to respond to my request. It may be a denial but that is their policy. You could call for an update and politely ask what their policy turnaround time is. Tell them you are anxious for a reply and have patiently waited this long for an answer and would like to know when you can expect it.

I have TML trough my husbands work and they have denied me on the exclusion "The plain does not pay for surgical procedures for obestity. I have appealed and been denied again. My BMI is 49% my doctor's office is trying to fight it over morbid obesity. Im hoping! If not Im concidering paying for it myself. please let me know if TML approves you.

Check the exclusions in your Group Meical Benefits Book. Most plans under Texas Municipal League Group Benefits Risk Pool specifically exclude susrgical procedures for obesity.
