Question:
Has anyone had luck getting surgery approved thru Blue Cross of Mississippi?

I ahve been told that Blue Cross of Mississippi denies all claims for Bariatric surgery due to an exclusion in their policy.    — chonda W. (posted on July 18, 2002)

I have dealt with BCBS of FL---the language in my policy states it is a covered service--but they keep denying me stating it is not a service--very ambiguous--I have hired Walter Lindstrom and his appeal letter is outstanding--we are still awaiting their decision---

2 years ago I tried to get WLS through BCBS of Mississippi, and was denied QUICK! Luckily, my husband changed jobs, and we now have BCBS of Minnesota, and they have been wonderful!
