Question:
How soon is too soon to call the insurance company?

My LOMN was faxed yesterday. I know I will have a struggle getting approval...I have BCBS, and am requesting the DS. How soon is too soon to call and start bugging them about it?    — [Deactivated Member] (posted on July 13, 2001)

I'd give them one working week to get it in the system and then follow-up to verify receipt and ask them what their turn around time is etc. Good luck.

I agree with Dawn, I would only give them a week. I waited three weeks to call and was told they never recieved anything. I would call once a week after that.

i would give them a week, and the i would start calling everyday. i started calling mine after a week and everyday that i called, i was told they didnt have me in their computer system. this went on for a month and a half. i finally got hold of a supervisor, and by going thru her, i was approved in a week
