Help Me!!!!!!! I have been denied by cigna

I have been denied by cigna(imagine that)The denial letter said that ther was no polysomnogram to support sleep apnea. I had a polysomnogram done and the result was RDI of 47 per hour. We appealed with this in hand as well as proof of degenerative joint disease. Appeal denied...36 year old male with sleep apnea and degenerative joint disease did not provide enough medical neccesity and there was no psych eval or 12 week supervised diet in the last year. These things were not mentioned in their original denial. What do I do?    — Vance M. (posted on January 17, 2003)

Hi friend..this is what i have done.. i haven't submitted for approval but I have go so many ducks lined up they will think its duck season... First go to your doctor now and go complaining of feet hurting.... tell your doctor you wonder what kind of diet they would suggest... make sure its documented that they weighed you and suggested a diet...then next month at the same time go back again... this time maybe that knee is hurting more.... make sure they weigh you and mention the diet sucks... your trying blah blah.... make sure they document your weight again...finally go to the doctor after 4 weeks again with another ailment... comeon your warts removed if nothing else.. Ahhh but make them weigh you and talk about that diet again... Now you have medical supervised diet info... and cigna paid for your visits cause you went for other reasons... BTW cigna paid for my psych eval totally ... this will take time but cigna won't let this slip by without supervised diet listed.... Good luck and line them ducks up this time ....go to support group and get that leader to write a letter..check out my links for anything of help.... GOOD things come to those that weight I mean wait!!!! work on those ducks and your time will come....good luck and DON'T give up!!! Not sure about already being denied but ask if you got all this info would they reconsider....if not wait till your insurance is renewed and arm yourself with the ducks all in line .... and try again....best wishes

HEY THERE I SENT 5 YEARS MEDICAL HISTORY REFLECTING MY WEIGHT...I ALSO WAS PUT ON DISABILTY AND SENT THAT TOO. i WROTE A BREAK DOWN OF MY MOM AND DADS MEDICAL HISTORY STATIN OBESITY AND DIABETES AND PROVES HOW I CAN BE A HIGH CANIDATE... I ALSO WROTE A LETTER ABOUT EVERYTHING I TRIED PERSONALLY ALONG WITH A LIST OF SUPPLEMENTS FOR WEIGHT LOSS I HAD TRIED... I SENT LOTS OF PAPPER WORK. DIG A LITTLE FURTHER BACK FOR ANY DOCUMENTATION... I WAS APPOVED AFTER 2 WEEKS..GOOD LUCK
