Question:
avmed hmo...

I read in my policy that any type gastric surgery, stapling, etc..is not covered, avmed hmo. Am I foolish to even try to obtain authorization? I didn't even see any medically necessary rider to the policy. Anyone else had any experience with this type of insurance problem and obtained authorization..have fatty liver, i hope this is a good co-morbid condition. Any info will be helpful.    — teresa A.
