Question:
Anyone have experience with Aetna and hypopnea?

I've been diagnosed with "Hypopnea" as opposed to full blown sleep apnea. One of the 4 Co-morbidities Aetna requires is obstructive sleep apnea. Anyone ever get approved with just the diagnosis of Hypopnea? Thanks!    — Carly H. (posted on October 6, 2003)

I don't know about the hypopnea, but last I knew (I have Aetna), they don't require all 4 co-morbidities, just 1 with a BMI of 40+ should do the job as long as you meet their other requirements (Dr. supervised diet, nutritionist, exercise program, etc.)
