Has anyone heard of the surgeon placing the port up under the chest cavity above t

I'm assuming you mean a Band port .. yes, I've heard of several placement sites. Mine's about 4" above my navel in the center of my abdomen. Most sit over to one side lower in the abdomen, but I've heard of several right below the breast bone. It's individual to the surgeon. Good luck!

my doc let me pick where i wanted it. the night before surgery, my doc had me place an x where i wanted it, so I had the chance to move around, put clothes/bra on, and make sure it wouldn't be in a place that get rubbed. ask if you get a choice, but for sure, make sure it doesn't lay right on your bra line. good luck!
