Question:
Has anyone been approved for WLS since Jan.1,03 with BCBS

I have BCBS PPO TX and they have gastric bypass listed in their new 2003 book ,, so i was wondering if anyone had been approved since Jan. 1st,, 2003 for WLS?    — itsmekaren (posted on January 13, 2003)

Hi Karen, I have BC/BS and I am approved but I need I must send a psych assesment/eval, thats all their waiting on. My PCP wrote my psych eval the first time, hope this helps and good luck on your journey.

Karen, My sister is in the process of being approved, I'll you know what happens, she has blue cross blue shield. Wish her luck !
