has anyone been approved for surgery resently by cigna ppo???

Sherry, my approval was not that recent but it was approved and I had
surgery on 11/21/02. Are you having any problems? They can take 30 days
to approve you and can quite be annoying about the whole thing. Keep
fighting, they will approve you. Good Luck!!

I had my surgery on Sept. 23, 2002 and I have Cigna PPO. I've never had a
problem with them. You can always call and inquire about things nicely if
you need to! Good luck and God bless!

OMG! I was just approved last week, after WEEKS of fighting them on it.
Not on whether I qualified for the surgery but just to get the paperwork in
the right hands. I spoke with people in PA, in Charlotte and Chattanooga
and the left hand NEVER knew what the right hand was doing. I was VERY
persistant and sometimes I think they approved me so that I wouldn't call
anymore. lol...Not everyone goes through the same thing, so I hope you
have an easier time which I'm sure you will. Good luck and the only thing
I can offer is take notes (names, dates, what is said, etc) of EVERY call
you make...

I was just approved last Friday and got my approval letter in the mail
today with Cigna PPO. I dealt with the Texas office. I had my approval in
14 days. I had a great Rep. working with me.

My dr sent in my paperwork on 1/3/03 and 1.5 weeks later I was approved. I
have Cigna(South Carolina) and we had to go through Intracorp. After
speaking with a rep there the first time she gave me a name and fax#.

I have Cigna PPO. My packet was faxed 1/27/2003. Sent to the review board
1/30/2003 and approved 1/30/2003. I called 2/4/2003 and heard those 3
magical words, "you are APPROVED"! I live in NC. Call, Call,
Call! But be very nice!

WE FAXED MY PACKET IN ON 1-22-03 AND I WAS APPROVED ON 1-24-03, THEY SENT
MY APPROVAL LETTER OUT ON 1-31-02, I HAVEN'T RECIEVED IT YET THOUGH .....

i had my surgery on 12/18/02...i got my approval on 12/17/02 at 4:30pm it
gave me no time to get ready
