David: I want to commend you on being so brave! My daughter had RNY in 8/2001 and has lost over 140 lbs. She was 353 lbs. at the beginning. She looks incredible and, most importantly, feels wonderful and vigorous. My nephew-in-law had the surgery in Gainesville 3 years ago. He weighed over 650 lbs. and now weighs a gorgeous 210! Please let their stories encourage you as you recuperate. All is well...be of good courage!! Love and Prayers, Shirley

David, I am wishing you a successful, complication-free surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having this surgery several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you start your healthy new life.
