I have been over weight most of my life and have been on a roller coaster of different diets and have not been able to have kept it off. I also have had 3 back surgeries and have put on wieght with each one I have had. I just had surgery # 3 about 3 months ago and have put on 15 pounds. At the begining of 2002 I had decided to try to diet the right way and drinking more water,eating healthy,doing water arobics 3 times a week, and walking 3 miles twice a week and done it for about a year and had lost maybe 5 pounds then I hurt my back again and had a fusion done and have put on total of 19 pounds so I hope to find something that will be life changing instead of living on a roller coaster of wieght gain.

Hello everyone! I got my consult appointment for May 20th so wish me luck. I'm so excited right now and so scared on the other hand. It seems with this Doc things are moving pretty fast. I went to my PCP because I had a sinus infection and I talked to her about writing me a letter to help support the surgery and she said she would so that made me happy to know she was on my side. So I guess not to much more to do but sit and wait. So I will post more after my consult!

Hello! I just thought I would post on my page but don't have too much new news except I went to my consult and they say I'm a good canidate for the surgery and I should have a good sucess rate at my weight! So now I'm on to the waiting game! I feel so excited and yet so scared! I will be glad to get approved and on with it but I will post more when I know something new!

Woo Hoo! I got approved!!!!!! Just wanted to let everyone know! But the wierd thing is that it says it was approved on the 4th but I haven't heard anything from the Doc to secheduled so I guess I have that to wait for now! But I guess the good thing is that I got approved! Well....I will post more when I know something new!!!!!!!

Just wanted to say I heard from the Doc office today and I wasn't here so I have to call tomorrow. I feel so excited and scared! I can't wait to get a date! I will post more later!

Woo Hoo! I got a date! I am supposed to have surgery on July 30th if I get medical clearence so all of you keep your fingers crossed. I'm getting so excited but then again I'm kinda scared! I just can't wait for it to all be over with and on to recovery. I will be posting more as I get more news!

Wow! it is here real fast my surgery is tomorrow and I'm scared! I will be glad when it is over and I'm on my way home. I have been real busy here lately tryin to get all my pre-op stuff done. Today was a long day! I just wanted to eat all day and it was hard not too! But I will post later atfer I get home! Thank you all for you warm wishes!

This is Heather... Jamie's friend and she wanted me to let all of you know that she is not at Riverside Community Hospital. She is at Parkview and the number there is 909-688-2211 and she is in room #305 Bed (B).... She would LOVE to hear from any of you and would love to have visitors. She is doing well and feels very glad to have done this surgery. I have to say I am very proud of her... she sounds like she is doing just fantabulous and Im sure she will be out of there in no time. Keep her in your prayers and again give her a call or a visit k?

Hey to all! I have been bad about updating but I guess I have a good reason. I have been in and out of hospital since surgery! At this point I'm regreting the surgery but I know this will all pass. I was first put in the hospital for bad or should I say I was at the top of the pain scale but anyhow the pain was under my ribs and all over in my stomache area! I had pancreatitis. Come to find out I had gallstones that they didn't see before I had surgery and it was causeing bad problems! I had to have gallbladder removed and I thought I was fixed but I seem to be worse when I come home 8 days later but I continued to vomit feeling sick constant and also gagging at the drop of a hat! So I was put back in the 2 weeks later and the put the scope down to find that I had a stricture and a bad ulcer in which covered the top part of my pouch.......the scope Doc said he had a hard time getting the scope inside! Ok and just when I thought I was going to be on my way to getting better I was put back in the hospital 4 days later stayed there for about 4 days to find out by the scope again that I had another stricture and that was a week ago yesterday so I guess we will see what happens next. I am eating a little better but still struggleing with this gagging problem and vomiting about twice a day for the past 3 days. I guess the good thing about all of this is that I have lost 53 1/2 pounds and the sad part is that I haven't really been happy about it. I guess it is because I have had so many problems. I hope things get better soon. I'm kinda tired of eating so often and so little. I feel like I'm trying to find something to eat all day and that I can tolerate. I hope all is well with everyone else and I will write back after I come back from Doc tomorrow.
