I have another update on Shauna. She is now 6 days post-op and doing well. She had her first post-op BMs and is on to eating soft foods now, including some tender pork and gravy! Early post-op she had some problems with (fluid in didn't equal fluid out, and come to find out her cath was plugged up. She was off pain meds yesterday and made it through the day. She's able to get up and walk, but she had some leg pains/cramps and the docs were concerned it might be a blod clot, so they didn't let her walk more until they ran tests and determined it wasn't. Her oxygen levels have been low so she might be sent home with some O2. She's expecting to be released today.

Shauna made it through surgery okay yesterday. She is still in ICU, where she may remain for a day or two. Shauna's husband, AJ, said she had a lot of pain initially post-op, but that he can tell it has subsided a bit since.

Hi Shauna, This is your DS Angel, Rod. I think it is absolutely wonderful that you are so blessed to be able to have this surgery. I want to wish you an uneventful surgery tomorrow and a speedy recovery. We will all be praying for you.

I wanted to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are up and out and about real soon. I'll bet you are are doing a happy dance accompanied by a bundle of unwanted "NERVES", but don't worry be HAPPY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!
