I had gastric bypass surgery in about 1992. The surgery was done by Dr. Milton Owens in San Pedro, California. Initially I lost a lot of weight, about 100 pounds, but from the third year, the weight crept back on. I am now in the same position, if not worse, than before surgery. I don't know why the surgery failed in my case, but again I have that feeling that my life's on hold. There's someone trapped underneath all this fat who can't function properly at this weight. Is there anything left that can be done for someone like me?
