Hey Jennifer! Thanks for writing, and yes, I have been very very bad about updating my profile. Funny, before my surgery I told myself I'd keep on top of it and post regularly--Ha! I'm doing absolutely wonderful--had no problems or complications and I've lost 80 lbs now. I'm in heaven. Please look me up at the next support group meeting...hope you're still attending them. Love ya, girl....Deb

Hey Jennifer!!! I'm dying to know how you're doing today. My surgery is 4/17/01 with Dr. Macik and I'm hoping for the best. You hang in there with your recovery hun and Walk, Walk, Walk. Two post-ops were at the support group meeting on 4/12/01--both were 14-16 days post op. They were both driving and back to work already...Can you believe it!! You will be there soon. GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU :-) P.S. I think you were the sweety that moved in our pre-op appt at Dr. Waits office for my hubby and me to sit together--thanks again.

Aunt Rona checking in again. Spoke with Jennifer a few minutes ago. She's home and doing GREAT! The pain medication is making her sleepy but she's settled into a recliner at her mom's and is happy and able to tolerate milk and other liquids. I'm really proud of her and will update more later.

Hi all - it's Aunt Rona again. I talked to my sister again this morning and Jennifer is in the midst of the "oh my gosh what have I done to myself?" blues. We all know how that goes, don't we? I told her to keep her chin up - for me the first two weeks was the hardest and once I got past that things got better every day. Jennifer had an epidural and as a result one of her legs is asleep (numb) so she can't get up and walk and that has her in the dumps. She wants to get better FAST!! Keep sending her your encouragement and she's gonna be fine. Thanks everybody!!
