just getting started. IM 23 and 304lbs havent looked at the schale. My husband and i been married for almost 5 years. I have a 2year old daughter.
I can remember as a kid, fighting with my mother because i didnt want to go to school. Alot of kids teased me about my weight. i dont think i ever went swimming in school as a kid . i did have bad ears but the swimming suit thing freaked me out . untill high school i was always one of the biggest girls in my class .Never once had a boyfriend in school or even a date for that matter. I did have alot of friends but i think that was alot to do with my easy personality . I didnt make it 5 months in to 9th grade when i quit .My goal is to walk in to the class reunion looking better then i ever had .size 12-14 would be great ohhh but a 9 would be better.lol .. wishful thinking
Now im 23 and stuck at the biggest iv been. have tryed for years to diet .Some people in my family and alot of my friends dont understand how it feels to be fat. Cant walk around to much, always tiered, the back pain stopping you from standing for any length of time ,cant sleep a night threw, because your legs and arms fall asleep and you back feels it will brake in half.OH AND THE SHOPPING FOR CLOTHS THING .... thats the worst !!!
I know after i have this surgery that i will have energy to run with my daughter and ill feel so much better about myself .
my insurance (medica)they seem to be easy to work with ...Hope so
had gone to dr.shapiros class on jan 24th and on
march 5th im going to Dr baker info class. then i will decide what doctor i will go with.
i have herd alot of good things about both
in march i got in on a cansel for info classes with dr.drew..
did not get to meet the surgens .
all classes where good with all info but i think dr.bakers was the one i was most happy with.. i am now planning on going to dr. bakers .. also have got my foot in on with drew .. but there is a long waiteing list with drew... have my eval on 17th of april ..keep my fingers crossed and should be haveing surgery in june...

April-30 2002....
Well eval is passed and im waiting for the paper work to go threw should be seeing him around 2end or 3erd week in may and then have surgery within 6 weeks from then as i been told is the waiting list... was told i have to loose 15 pounds pre opp and 7 befor he will even see me ...bad enuff i have been on almost all the diets out there but torture to have to do it again when i have come to grab the last chance. i dont understand it but i guess have to do what i have to do. so i guess im off to the diet diery to see what one i want to try again...

Met with DR.Baker today and whooooohooooo AUG.5th FIRST DAY OF MY NEW LIFE..<<<<<<<<
he was very nice , and his staff are very informational. very confadint in DR.Baker and sure it will go well. i have to loose 15 lbs before surgery , i lost 9 so far wooohooo again i realy didnt think i was going to lose the half before i seen him today . surprised myself.. 6 more and im there... SO HAPPY .
It will feel like a for ever until Aug.i plan to start my classes this month in cambridge ...may even met some new friends. would be cool.
Also more news i should be starting school in fall i hope things are changing fast for me alot of stuff going on but i feeling better already ...

July - 8th 2002
Well loosing the 15 wasnt hard as i thought dropped 10 in about 16 days . now comes the waiting . Tring to keep busy .
My best friend is haveing hers on july 10th so i get to see it all before i have mine . She is very good support for me, and we have done most all of this together . Cant wait to go shopping after we lost most our weight . lol wooohooo no more over priced cloths just because its big .. and i can shop at the simple stores. ..pluse size cloths can be very scary in common stores .. that makes me crazy . just cuz we are big dont mean we injoy wareing plade and flower print .

AUG. 1st 2002
Here we go only 4 days to go and my life starts new. have alot of things changing in my life and can get alittle stressful , but i guess the saying go's that "God dont give out more then you can handle" I hope so !
I just finished my high school equivalent so im proud of that.
Me and my husband are separating in oct. or nov. I will have to see if i can go back to school and work enuff to pay the bills . sucks but i'll make it , just time to kick in the super woman mode.....
I cant wait to start a new and full life. acomplish the things that i want in life. time to teach a way to live not live how i was tought.

Aug 5th here and gone , surgery went well im 4 days post today and feeling better . i had swelling in my pouch first 2 day i couldnt drink . but it went down and i am better today .i have my first apt . on monday the 12 find out how much i lost then ..

the first apt . i lost 13 pounds and i think i lost 10 this week so far .
i am doing ok.

Ok its been 2 months and i lost total of 70 lbs from pre opp.
I am going threw divorce so thats been a bit stressful but i am makeing it threw ok . i try to keep busy . started a job and plan to go back to school in Jan, for surgery Tech .
going to next Apt on Nov 1 and the 2end will be going to the Gala , Hope to meet some of you there.
Holidays went well. spent it with my sister.
I have had some problems with the amount of food i have been able to eat, but a few weeks before X-Mas that seem to change over night . I ate prime rib and crab legs for christmas dinner, weird but seems nothing much bothers me , i dont dump , unless it is alot of suger or to much dairy but i only get a head ach and seem like i am tierd . i think i may be hitting a platue right now so im stepping it up . feeling great!!!

Almost to my one year lost 154 lbs and hope to slow down now .
5 more pounds and i will be at my goal.
feeling good most all my back pain is gone , well aleast for the most part.
been divorced since march. but am doing well.
