Hey Jennifer! I just wanted to congratulate you on taking this HUGE step to better health and living! Your sister's report shows that you were a trooper and surgery went well for you...that is truly great to hear! Dr. Oh is the best, and you should feel confident that you are in good, caring hands!

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author) FROM MY HEART TO YOU~*~Hugs~*~

Jennifer did SO WELL w/ her surgery! She went in to the OR at about 10:30 AM on Thursday morning, and was in her room @ about 4:30 PM. (Surgery didn't take that long - she just had to wait for her room to open up.) As soon as she got to her room, she was up and out of bed walking to the bathroom! She was in a fair amount of pain, but she was a real trooper! Thursday night, she was very groggy and just wanted to sleep. Friday, though, she was a different person! When I got to the hospital at about 10 AM, she wasn't in her room. I went looking for her, and she was out walking around the ward - unbelievable! She even ran into Dr. Oh, and he was very impressed! She was probably out walking around more than she was in bed. Friday also brought her first "food." She got to have one ounce cups of very diluted apple juice. She tolerated very well - no problems at all. She even said that it tasted like a slice of heaven! She also had a SUGAR FREE orange popsicle later in the day and loved that, too! Saturday, SHE WAS DISCHARGED! I actually think she was ready to go home on Friday, but her potassium level was a little low, and they wanted to get that back to normal before she could go home. She is ON HER WAY! I am so very proud of my sister. She really came through like a champ. She'll probably be posting her herself tonight or tomorrow!
