08/19/02...I am back. Sorry it took so long. I had my 6 week follow up vist on August 7th. I weighed 220. As of this morning I weigh 210 on my home scales. And, according to the BMI charts I am now only OBESE. I feel great. I have adjusted very easily to the new way of how to drink/eat and how much at a time. I have been receiving many compliments by my coworkers and all kinds of people about how great I look. I feel great and this just adds to it. I will post current pictures very soon...I promise.

07/10/02 I had a very successful surgery. My surgery was performed on 06/20/02 and I was released from the hospital on 06/24/2002. I returned to work on 07/01/02 and had my staples removed on 07/03/02. The day I went home from the hospital I weighed 254 pounds! When I had my 1st post-op visit on 07/03 I weighed 238! As of this morning I now weigh 228! It is simply amazing how the weight is dropping off. It also feels good to know that I am no longer morbidly obese, but severely obese. I learned real quick how much fluid I can intake without getting sick to my "new stomach". Just follow the guidelines to the "t" that your dietician gave and you will do fine. I still say that I have the best doctor, Daniel Jones, in the world. I will keep you posted on my success and weight loss. I look forward to the challenge of actually taking a bite of solid food some day. I already know that I want a bite of Pizza!
