I went to the Doctor's office yesterday and since I have had the surgery I have lost 14 1/2 pounds. I have been able to notice some but everyone else said they have noticed. I am thankful for the fact that I am 2 weeks post-op with no complications, no pain, no soreness, and I am starting to feel like my normal self again. All the Glory belongs to the Most High because without Him I don't know what I would do.

1/3/06
I went to the Doctor's office today and I am down 8lbs so my total for the month is 22 1/2 lbs. I am excited because I am building muscle which is what they want you to be doing anyway. I feel great and I am doing great:)

As of today I am officially 2 mos. post-op YEA!!!!!!! I am doing well and the process is still kind of slow for me but I am still moving on the downward path with my weight loss. As of today my total weight loss is 31 lbs. I guess that is where I am suppose to be at right now at this point. I am very thankful and greatful for what I have lost. I still have to give all the praise and Glory to God the Most High because if it had not been for Him being on my side I don't know where I would be:) I will be in touch and as always much love to everyone who has supported me on my journey.

    Surgeon Info:
    Surgeon: Titus Duncan
My first impression of Dr. Duncan, he is very concerned about your health and that carried a lot of weight with me. The staff at Peachtree Surgical Center are all very polite and patient. If you are in the area look up Dr. Duncan because you could not ask for a better physican. Dr. Duncan has a team set up to help you with your after care and it is wise to take advantage of all the help he has put in place for you. We had to attend a complications class with Dr. Duncan and in that class he covered everything from start to finish and he also gave heads up on things we can do to make sure we don't have any complications afterwards. Dr. Duncan gets a 10 in my book. I believe that both are great characteristics to have.
    Insurer Info:
    Georgia Medicaid
Dealing with Georgia Medicaid went fairly smooth for me. They only took a couple of days to approve me. I believe it also depends upon their work load as well but they seem to be approving people very quickly. If you have Georgia Medicaid, make sure you give them every piece of information they ask for and that will insure your timely approval.
