Happy 50th Birthday to my Beautiful Twin Sister! She looks great and has come up with the following theory: 50 yrs minus 110 lbs = 30 yrs YOUNG! I can go for that! LOL! Take a look at her profile for a great story!

Carolyn, It was good to read your e-mail testimony and hear how well you are doing. You are truly an encouragement to me and I praise God for taking good care of you. I covet your prayers as I go for surgery next Wednesday (4/4). I hope we get a chance to see each other soon. May God continue to bless you! Donna Badgett

Angel retiring her wings for now~~~~^j^ CAROLYN IS HOME!!! I am very proud of my lovely sister and she is doing so great! She got home at about 5:00 pm and is using OXYFAST for pain relief but doesn't really need it except at night. She has already taken a hot shower and is now officially on her way to a new life. God bless you, Carolyn, and remember you are not alone in this exciting journey. We are all here for you and each other. Congrats to all new post-ops and thanks to all for your support and kind thoughts. I am officially signing off and returning to my earthly duties....angel flying close to the ground....Marilyn

Tired, exhausted, angel report #4...Just got back from the hospital where I stayed all day with my sis. She is doing great! Last night the doctor who was making rounds came around and told her that he would take out her ng tube as soon as he came around today. She groggily instructed him "ok, but come early to do it!". He laughed and today when he came around at 6 am he asked her "is this early enough for you?". She was happy to have it removed. Tomorrow she gets some jello and broth and crystal lite. She had water today. They wanted her to have 64 oz of water today! I couldn't believe that. She had to drink 1 oz x 64 times! I think she made it to about 35. Anyhow she is punching her pca button and walking to the bathroom and down the halls. We are so proud of her because other than her sore back, she isn't complaining too much. Her incision is looking good. She did say that she was happy and glad to have had surgery but she would never try to persuade anyone to have it. She said it must be their decision. I agree. Well, I am off to see her again tomorrow. I am 15 wks post op and it is really tiring me out. Plus cafeteria food is not conducive to my plan!!!I will be glad to get things back to normal. One nurse remembered me from when I had my surgery and she said I looked great and had a glow about me! That made me feel good. I feel so happy now and I want to celebrate with my sis but she is not up to celebrating yet!!! I feel jubilant and I feel "high" on life! Thank you God and Dr. Bergstein for a new life!!!

~~~~ANGEL REPORT #3~~~~Carolyn is on the other side! She had her surgery today and is doing great! I just returned from the hospital where she was resting in her private room and she was in some pain. She has morphine pump and has already had some ice chips. She sat up in a recliner for 2 hours! I am so proud of her. She had two hernia repairs too --one she knew about that was incisional from gall bladder removal years ago and another small umbilical one that she didn't know she had. She is rather grumpy but suddenly when the room was all quiet her sweet singsong voice chirped up "I'm on the other si-id...I'm on the other si-id!" It was really funny and made us all laugh. Thank you all for your prayers and kind words. I am going to print her card tomorrow morning to take to her....please leave her a note as she loves to read from you all. I have a special thank you to a very kind lady, SHARON BISHOP. I want to describe a scene for you and I hope this blesses you. My husband, Carolyn, her husband, and I were all in the pre-op waiting area where you get your robe on and iv started, etc. Carolyn was really scared and kind of shaky. I had printed out all the message board to read while waiting for her surgery and I saw your poem of Psalms. Oh my gosh, I was so touched. I immediately held Carolyn's hand and read it to her. Tears were rolling down her cheeks and she said "save that for me. I want to keep that". It was such a joy to share those inspired wonderful words. Thank you so much and may God bless you. You are a wonderful soul! Your words followed her when she left to go to surgery in the next few minutes. What a joyful experience to have friends and supporters like you folks. God surely has blessed us. Thank you.
