OK its been 2 more weeks and I'm doing much better. I am ready to go home to my house now. I can now bend over and touch the floor again walk and drive. My pain is much less. I still have a hole in my tummy :( Looks like it will be here for atleast 2 more weeks. My weight is now down to 263 lbs. Not too bad, not as good as I hoped, but not too bad.

Jennifer~ How wonderful you have your date! I work at OHSU in ICU, and see a lot of Dr. Deveny's patients post-op. I am certain you will be well cared for! I only dare to dream to have a date for my own surgery soon. I wish you well and let me if there is anything I can do for you! God Speed ^i^

Hi Everyone! Thanks so much to everyone who has dropped by my site. All of you have had such nice and encouraging things to say. Unfortunately I have bad news. Just before Christmas I came down with a bad cold, which turned out to be pneumonia. So I will probably have to cancel and reschedule my surgery date. I'll keep the site posted and change the information after my surgery has been rescheduled.

Jennifer, I feel for you and the challenges you face everyday. My daughter, Jennifer, was diagnosed with Manic Depression in her teens. Lithium and therapy were the cure all for her. She put on weight too, but not a lot. Hang in there with your therapy and meds. I know the weight loss you will so experience will help greatly toward your self image. I had the surgery this past Aug and do not regret the decision I made for myself. God Bless you, Dean
