Hi, just wanted to update and let all of you who contacted me after I was having pain in my right side that I had gallbladder problems. An ultasound revealed gallstones. I have surgery scheduled for 10/06/03 to have it removed. I have lost 50lbs so far since my surgery in June and except for the gallbladder thing, I feel so much better. I have had several episodes with the gallbladder attacks so I will be glad to get this resolved. Wish all of you continued success on your journey and may God bless you. Janice

Hi Janice, I too can't really say what's wrong with you since I am not your doctor. It's always good to call your doctor with any concerns like that that you may have since he/she is the one who was inside you, :O) I can share what happened to me but I haven't had anything like that and I am 2 months postop also. I had pains like that very early postop and my doctor said it was a little pocket of the gas that they used to inflate my abdomen (I had lap) and it would eventually absorb. I have included you in my prayers and I hope everything turns out okay when you see your doctor Tuesday. Please let us know how it goes for you! HUGS

Janice, I am sorry but I am pre-op and do not what I am going to feel yet. BUT I didnt want you to think that nobody loved and cared about you. I would go to the doctor sooner if you are in doubt! It is better to be safe then sorry. Please let me know how you do and what the doctor said, it might be useful information for me to know. I am having open RNY on October 6th. I will say a special prayer for you.... love and lots of hugs, jeannie

Janice I am sorry you are having pains in your abdominal area, I of course don't have the answers for you, I just can say that I too had a simular problem for the 1st 4 mo post -op my family Dr. told me she found nothing wrong and that it was probably some residual brusing from the way they clap us open on the open RYN..... but when in doubt and you feel it is bad please seek medical advice. keep in touch and let me know what you find out... I am praying that all is ok hugs and God Bless Maureen
