Hello All First day home, doing great... pain is not bad, hurts when I cough, and move or stretch. Only took 1/2 pain med. I had my cream of wheat with FF milk no problem then for snack Carnation Instant no added sugar, drank slow over 30 minutes, not problem. 3:30 will have my yogurt with fruit. So far so good. I have been moving around, live in split level, so always going up and down. Will take a walk around the block or on the treadmill. So nice to see all your good wishes. Will write often. Much Love and Appreciation. Barbara

Hello All, Thanks for you good wishes and prayers. I'm home, things went well. Did not take anything for pain today, just hurts if I cough or sneeze. Want to share that I thought this would be like having a tooth pulled. Well it is major surgery, so a little more then having a tooth pulled. But, less pain then a root canal. However, I now know, "this is definitely not the easy way out" So I am proud of myself, that I was able to take my year and three postponents, to know I was ready and it was right for me. This is quite a commitment, and I take is a such. I expect this lap band to be my best buddy, helping me stay on tract with my health. But each day will be a learning experience. And we all have to learn on our own. I had my cream of wheat for breakfast with some ffmilk, no problem I keep taking little sips of flavored water or tea, my mouth is very dry. I at all the cream of wheat, slowly without any problems, it that okay. Next I will continue to sip my fluids and have some protein drink in about 1/2 and hour. Breakfast at 11 a.m. Protein drink at 1 P.M. Then keep sipping to 30 minutes before lunch and dinner. I asked if I could have a tic tac, they told me its better to keep sipping for dryness. But, Is is okay to have a tick take or sugar free mint? Or a Ginger Altoid? Can anyone let me know. Thanks. If anyone is getting a Lap Band real soon and wants to stay connected, please do. I need as much support as I can get and I will be able to give back. I do have a very positive attitude and can share. My email is [email protected] Thanks so very much for being here for me.
