ObesityHelp

I am a 37 year old Type 1 diabetic, my current bmi is 39.9 and I am just over 100 lbs overweight. I do very well with controlling my diabetes but I have had a weight problem for the last 20 years. I am really concerned that if I do not get the weight off that I am really putting myself at risk for a heart attack or stroke not to mention the toll all the insulin is doing to my body. In order to keep my blood glucose level in check I have had to increase my insulin requirements over the last 2 years quite a bit. The more insulin I take the more weight I gain. I have tried everything to lose the weight. I am not considering this surgery for cosmetic reasons. I have a very loving husband and we have been together long enough now that we see eachother from the inside not the outside. I desperately need to lose the weight so that I can be around to enjoy life. I have a really hard time exercising right now because it hurts. I average throwing my back out at lease once a year. I soooo want to participate in life.
