Melanie's home! She's very, very sore and very tired. But what an improvement since day 1! I'm sure she'll be online soon and give her own update.

Melanie is doing much better today! She was sitting up, sipping water and even talking! She is very sore, especially at the incision site. She hasn't been sleeping very well, but naps often. She has been up and walking around the nurse's station. She's gained about 6 lbs., but the nurse said that it's from the IV fluids. I can't believe how much better she looked today.

Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others, It is because we are different that each of us is special. Don't set your goals by what other people deem important, Only you know what is best for you. Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart Cling to that as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless. Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life. Don't give up when you still have something to give Nothing is really over … until the moment you stop trying. Don't be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect, It is the fragile thread that binds us to each other. Don't be afraid to encounter risks, It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave. Don't shut love out of your life by saying it's impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give love. The fastest way to lose love is to hold on too tightly, And the best way to keep love is to give it wings. Don't dismiss your Dreams. To be without dreams is to be without hope. To be without hope is to be without purpose. Don't run through life so fast that you forget where you've been, But also know where you're going. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored every step of the way.

Melanie is doing well as of this afternoon (one day post-op). The was heavily sedated by the morphine drip, but the nurses did say she's been up and moving twice. She looks like she's in pain, but she knew she would be! I'll be back to see her tomorrow. Keep Melanie in your prayers!

Well, just got back from going back to the hospital to check on Melanie. Dr. Valin said she'd be awake around 6-7:00 or so and at 8:30, the nurses said she'd be at least another half hour in recovery. They said she was perfectly fine and that there was nothing to worry about, that this was a normal amount of time to be in recovery. I'll be seeing her tomorrow afternoon around 2:30 and I'll post another message after seeing her!

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author)FROM MY HEART TO YOU ~*~Hugs~*~
