I was approved for the surgery after the first request. There were no stumbling blocks that I ran into. I even changed doctors and hospitals after getting the approval. All it took was a phone call -- they have been very easy to work with. I'm sure it helps that we have a company support network within the United Health Care system, so any questions, approvals, etc. go directly through the company support. Works great -- at least it has for me!
