I am a 48 year old mother of three children. One boy age 21, and
two girls age 19 and 12. I have a wonderful supportive husband.
I am married to my soul mate and I am so very lucky. I have been
married for 24 years this year. Now about my weight. I have
continually gained weight since I started having children. I do
have a thyroid problem which I believe doesn't help. The doctors
say it is now in the normal range and I still have been unsucess-
ful at dieting. I have tried everyone imaginable like everyone
else. The biggest reason I want this surgery is because I want
to be healthy! I am going through the weight loss clinic at Mass
General Hospital and I reallly am very happy with it. Everyone
is very caring and make you feel right at home. I have chosen
Doctor Randall to do my surgery and I am very happy with him.
He has a tremendous track record and has a great reputation. I
feel very comfotable with him. My surgery is 7/11/03 and I am
both nervous and excited. I will post more after surgery.

My Doctors office handled everything. They told me that I would be approved and sure enough, I was. I don't know when they sent in the paperwork and I received the aprroval from BC/BS in the mail.
