Weight has been an issue for me since back in 1992. In high school, I was such a top athelete, that I don't think I ever gave my body time to gain weight. My first year in college I went on a track schlarship, and got injured. After knee surgery, my knee was never the same. I got married right away, and within 6 months I was pregnant with our first child. I gained alot of weight, and never lost it after he was born. It was the same thing with the second and third child. I started going to the doc a couple of years ago, where they diagnosed me with polycystic ovaries, insulin resistance, and hypothyroid. Now we knew why I couldn't loose the darn weight. Before surgery in Jan, my knees, back, and feet were hurting so bad, I was finding it hard to function properly. My PCP referred me to a surgeon for surgery, and when I got there I weighed a whopping 317 pounds. I was devistated. Just three weeks before I weighed 298. I told myself I would never reach the 300 mark, and boy did I. Well it is now 7 weeks after surgery, and this morning I weighed 265. I was so excited. I am looking forward to this weight loss journey!

Well things are going well, with the exception that I am going to have to have surgery again. I have a large hernia behind the incision area, but the weight is coming off well. I am loosing weight much slower now, I now weigh 236. I will be so glad when I get to onederland. I am adding some pics from our fantastic trip to Garmisch. They are a few months old, so I am a little smaller.

This one is on April 30th at my 9 year olds bday party.
This is my newest pic from my mom's graduation from college on May 7th.
