Heather, I'm glad your doing great, I am as well, June 6th must have been a good day huh! I am back at work today and other than being alittle tired, It's good to be back in the swing of things. I had my two week follow up thursday and I had lost 20lbs, but I probably would have lost more if I had been able to get my protein down earlier, i just can't stand the thought of anythin sweet. Well take care and keep in touch. Renee Anderson

Hey Guys and Gals, I was two weeks post op on Thursday. So far no complications. I have lost an unofficial 25lbs. (on my scale). I am focusing on getting my protien and vitamins in and am getting plenty of water. My new stomach is so tiny! I get full very quickly and sometimes can not believe the amounts that I get full on. I am eating about a 1/4 cup of Harmony cereal with a bit of milk in the mornings and then protien at two more meals. I have been taking iron every other day, b-12 sublingual, centrum liquid vitamins, calcium citrate and 2 chewable calcium carbinate (yes, the ones that taste like chocolet and caramel, lol) and I am hoping that I am doing enough to keep heathy. I also drink a cup of milk each day. And I keep my protenex handy so that I can add it to my water if I feel like I am low on protien. I need to start putting some veggies into my diet as well -- BUT WHERE DO THEY FIT??? All in all I am still so glad that I made this healthy decision. There have been a few moments when I missed my old friend food, but I was prepared for that so it has not been too bad. Take care all and God bless you all as you make your journey to a heathier you! Love, Heather

Hi Heather, I'm real happy to hear that you are doing well. We were to be crossing over on the same day, unfortunately my white blood cell count was too high due to a sinus infection. My surgery is rescheduled for 6/20 :) Good luck to you for a speedy recovery!

Well, I have been home from the hospital for about 7 hours and all has been pretty good. I have been sipping protinex mixed with crystal light and for "dinner" I am having some chicken broth. Pain comes and goes but is managed by taking one or two pericets. My next appointment with my Dr. is on Tuesday after noon. The surgery went well, but apparently he had to take care of some adhesions due to my previous 4 c-sections. Dr. Rovito was wonderful. The nurses were way over worked -- they did their best for me, but it made me sad to see them running around so much -. I went for a walk around the block a few hours ago. It was a bit of a challange, but I am determined to do everyting that I can to be back at 100% asap. I am resting, sipping, and walking. I would love to stay on line, but I am not comfortable right now. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO GAVE ME SO MUCH SUPPORT DURING THIS TIME!!!! It really helped! Love, Heather

Heather came through her surgery with flying colors! The operation took 2 hrs and her doctor said that everything turned out fine. The hardest part was getting a room after post-op. The operation started @ 11:30 and she didn't get to her room until 5:30. I took our four kids(ages 9 thru 20 mo.)down for a brief visit till about 6:15. She loved seeing the kids but was wiped out and needed to get some rest. Hopefully she will come home tomorrow or early Sat. Thank you all for your support and prayers - I know it really meant a lot to Heather. Thanks again, Mike L.
