Gretchen, I live in Burlington County, NJ and used Dr. Gus Slotman at Cooper Medical Center in Camden. I don't know if you are interested in coming to NJ for your surgery but Dr. Slotman was really wonderful. He is head of the Surgical Critical Care Unit which put me at ease, knowing that I would be in very skillful hands. He's also a very caring man. My surgery was open, but he is now doing the lap procedure also. Even open, the incision was minimally invasive, my scar is about 3 1/2 inches long and has faded really well. I am 4 1/2 months postop and have lost 70 lbs bringing me over halfway to my personal goal. I've had absolutely no complications. My experience at Cooper was very good.
