I had my PAT's on Monday, April 14. It was a breeze. Got these papers to fill out: Advance Directive and something for my PCP. Advance Directive-no problem; took the other forms to my doctors office with only 2 days to go only to find out that he doesn't consider himself my PCP therefore he wouldn't complete the forms. I Called the internist that I'd seen for weight counseling, and he's out of town this week. So I spend 45 minutes thinking that I am up the creek. Called BTC once, receptionist was not helpful. Called back a few minutes later and told her that I need to talk to someone today about this. I talked with Jennifer in admitting and she calmed my nerves. She gave me telephone numbers and people to talk to at BCBS. Sigh...of relief. Tonight, Actually Wednesday morning, April 23, I'm sitting here trying to soak acrylic off of both first fingers - what a TASK. I'm getting very nervous. I go on clear liquids at noon tomorrow(today) - That's when it will seem real.

In all things Remember,that the one above loves you,that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you,that you be given strength, endurance,love,peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room,know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. My surgery is on Friday at Ypsilanti also & I will be thinking of you as you enter the losing side.Maybe I will see you walking in the halls. May God hold you and your surgery team in his tender hands.
